High school, as well as college is just another part in everyone’s
lives. Almost everyone go through such a transition between two very
diverse and different worlds. These diverse worlds can be compared and
contrasted by everyone; however, not all are aware of the possible
similarities and differences between them.
BEING READY ! When you hear those words what do you think of ?
I think of preparing things or maybe even making sure everything is in
place for when its time to move on. Being ready will always be the hardest thing to do because things happen faster than you think or other things may come in to play unexpectedly .When I hear those words I begin to feel overwhelmed because, at this point in life I am preparing myself to move on. I'm soon to be on my way to college.I'm ready for the ride ,the experience,and the lesson it all may bring at the end of the road to college. Although I maybe ready for those things I am not ready leave my boyfriend or my friends better yet my sisters. The bond we have built the laughs,jokes and memories will never be forgotten but I never pictured that ending. Just knowing that the time has gone by and the time is coming for us to part has a effect on me.College will be a wake up call for me I am 16 years old preparing for college .WOW ! How many people can say that? Not many ,not many at all I'm just wondering what can I give to the world that someone else cant?.
Besides my thoughts i know for a fact that I would love to major in criminal justice with a doctrines degree OR PHD . With a PhD in Criminal Justice, you can get almost any job you desire.
You could start a career in law enforcement, federal law enforcement,
correctional positions, forensic science or SCI, legal or court
positions, private security and contractor positions. A PhD is required
for many advanced level positions that typically do not require field
work. Exploring this would be a wonderful idea because this is a field where theres many different careers within my degree. I feel my degree wouldn't be going to waist neither will my money. My expectations are not high because i have yet to experience anything .
Going to college will not only provide me with the steps to a well-paying job, but will also provide me with the satisfaction of affecting my family now, and in the future. Having a college education is something that I want to share with my children. Being a role model for something as simple as just going to college is mind blowing. Having a college degree will help me financially support myself, and the rest of my family, and who could ask for more? College is the best solution to a happy future. A college education will impact all of my future decisions like, what house to buy or what house I can afford, what vehicle I would like to drive, and even the smallest decision like where to grocery shop. With college experience I am able to achieve bigger and better things.
After writing all of this i have decided i am not ready but i will do everything to get ready!
